How do I create archives with long filenames?

In order to preserve long file names in ZipIt, do the following:

1. Go to the File menu and choose
   Preferences->Miscellaneous.
2. Deselect
   "Convert filenames to PC-compatible format".

That's it. Now, any files that you add to a zip archive will have their original filenames intact.
